This pattern is good for beginner - intermediate embroiderers. All of the stitches used are basic. The most challenging part will probably be the linework, or the outlined figures of the girl and the dog. This part is very detailed and requires small stitches. Good lighting is a must! Any experience with fiber is helpful and gives you a head start. Patterns like this one, where the hoop is filled with stitching, can look really daunting--nobody is going to stitch this quickly. Part of the wonderful thing about embroidery is learning to slow down, enjoy the process, and to be okay with working on the same project for several sittings before you see the completed piece.
